I am recruiting an immediate start Finance Officer for a 6 month for a business based in Derby.

My client is a not-for-profit organisation based in Derby that has been dedicated to providing relief and development services for over two decades. Employing a workforce of over 500 people, this company specialises in community development, emergency relief, and public health projects.

Description

The Finance Officer's duties include but are not limited to:

Maintain accurate financial records and ledgers.
Prepare financial reports as required.
Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards.
Aid in the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
Assist in the development and implementation of financial policies and procedures.
Liaise with external auditors as required.
Participate in financial audits and provide recommendations for procedural improvements.
Support the wider team with ad-hoc tasks as required.Profile

The successful candidate will:

Be studying a professional accounting qualification (ACCA/ACA/CIMA)
Have experience in finance
Have experience in evaluating control designs and operating effectiveness under an internal control framework
Proficiency in financial software and MS Office
Strong numerical and analytical skills
Excellent attention to detail
Be willing to travel globallyJob Offer

The successful candidate can expect a starting salary up to £23-28,000 + an immediate start + 3 days home working + an opportunity for a permanent role + free parking available + 28 days annual leave
