About the role
Background and details:
We are seeking a self-motivated, well-organised individual who will be responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities and developing client relationships in the Southeast. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in developing and maintaining a robust pipeline of potential projects and opportunities, setting realistic growth targets, and contributing to the company’s sales strategy.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Build and maintain strong relationships with potential clients and industry partners
Identify and qualify new business opportunities
To represent the Komatsu brand and take responsibility for the sale of capital equipment in a given sales territory
To achieve agreed sales targets as specified.
To provide all necessary information to the Sales Support department to facilitate order processing and machine delivery
Accurate and timely completion of all sales related documents i.e., warranty, service contracts etc.
To utilise and maintain CRM system encompassing call planning, sales opportunities, market intelligence, competitive activity and forecasting
Attend industry events, trade shows, and conferences to network and generate leads
To maintain close liaison with customers and other departments of MKL to ensure the promotion of exemplary customer service.
Experience and Qualifications
Basic knowledge of plant industry
Microsoft Office experience (Outlook, Excel)
Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with customers
Strong communication skills and excellent presentation skills
Strong negotiation and closing skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team – desirable
Vast experience of working in a similar role and industry – desirable
Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets – desirable
Proficiency in using CRM systems and sales analytics tools – desirable
