Bench Joiner

£14.25- £15.25 per/hour

A highly sought-after opportunity to work with a well-established bespoke joinery manufacturer based out of Gateshead. This is a full time, permanent position where you will be working within a team of 9 other people working closely with architects and high-end interior designers bringing their visions to life.

The ideal candidate would have previous bench joinery experience and must be able work to job specifications, be capable of setting out and producing cutting lists, and setting up and using woodworking machinery for the production of various types of bespoke windows, doors and other non-standard joinery.

The Duties

* Creating top-tier joinery work that adheres to precise standards and exact tolerances.

* Reviewing and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings to comprehend project requirements.

* Constructing custom-made items.

* Safely operating woodworking hand tools and power tools.

* Ensuring all tasks are performed accurately and meet quality standards.

The Requirements

* Proven experience as a Bench Hand Joiner or Cabinetmaker.

* Experience in high quality bench-joinery manufacturing.

* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.

* Strong knowledge of carpentry techniques and woodworking principles.

* Familiarity with woodworking machinery and hand tools.

* Excellent attention to detail and quality control.

* Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.

* Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
