Randstad are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor to join a well established developer recognised on a national level. You will play a pivotal role in cash management, maximizing project value while minimizing costs through hands-on analysis and strategic planning. This position is instrumental in overseeing cost containment, accurate reporting, and providing financial projections, all while ensuring adherence to Quality Management System (ISO9001) and health and safety standards.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with production and technical teams to identify risks, ensure site compliance, and maintain quality assurance.
Manage cash flow and contract sums, ensuring a minimum 10% overvalue for each project.
Produce and maintain subcontractor orders, valuations, and final accounts in line with the companies Scheme of Delegation.
Oversee accurate reporting through Cost Value Comparisons (CVCs) and outturn cost sheets upon project completion.
Partner with internal teams and external stakeholders, including clients and subcontractors, to ensure smooth project delivery.
Qualifications:
Relevant Quantity Surveying or Construction degree, with membership or progress toward MCIOB or RICS.
Strong experience in contract management and cost forecasting, ideally within mixed-tenure construction.
Knowledge of UK building regulations and health and safety requirements.
Skilled in Value Engineering and construction remeasurement (piling, groundworks, RC frame & brickwork).
Exceptional numerical, communication, and problem-solving abilities.What The Company Offer:
