XCL group are working with a growing company based in Bingley and they are looking for someone to join their production team as a production operative. The company specialise in plastic extrusion and are keen to find people with past experience who will know how the machines operate and already have a good understanding of what would be required in the job role.

Job Responsibilities

* Running and maintaining extrusion and conversion machines and alerting supervisors to any quality or imperfections in the end products.

* Loading machines with raw products and ensuring that this doesn’t run out as it is a continuous flow of production.

* Taking off end products and palatizing them ready for dispatch.

* Recording batch numbers and checking off the raw materials used for the production.

* Process any waste material so that it can be reused for each job running.

* Continuous upkeep of the production areas so that everything is kept clean and tidy around the machines.

* Following all health and safety regulations throughout the company.

Job Requirements

* Past experience working on fast paced machinery.

* Must have excellent reading and writing skills as each job will have a card that needs to be followed.

* Ideally you would drive as the hours would require you to be able to get there for 6am when on days and public transport is limited in this area.

* We are looking for people who are enthusiastic to learn as training will be provided but we are looking for people who will stay with the company long term.

Hours:

This company operates a 4 on 4 off days and nights shift rotation.

Just to clarify it will be 2 day shifts (6am – 6pm) & 2 night shifts (6pm – 6am) then 4 days off then 2 days (6am – 6pm) & 2 nights (6pm – 6am) then 4 days off.

THIS WILL REQUIRE YOU TO WORK WEEKENDS AT TIMES
