Senior Reporter – Global Connectivity

£32,000 - £40,000 Base Salary + Bonus

Hybrid Working (2 days in the office)

Industry leading media publisher and events business seeks an ambitious senior reporter to join their growing editorial team.

The senior reporter will lead on producing editorial content focused on developments in telecoms and global connectivity for both the print magazine and website. They will leverage their specialist knowledge of the sector to enhance brand coverage and act as an ambassador for the business and/or thought leader in the space.

We are looking for a highly motivated individual who is passionate about digital content creation, possesses strong organisational skills, and is highly knowledgeable in SEO techniques and analytics. You will have a proven track record in producing digital market-leading coverage.

Key Responsibilities:

* Research and develop engaging content for digital platforms including websites, social media and email newsletters.

* Stay up to date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to keep their digital channels cutting-edge.

* Contribute opinion pieces, longer features, analysis, and participate in their podcasts and TV channel as required.

* Represent the brand at industry events to provide coverage, build contacts, and enhance their reputation.

* Proactively pitch story ideas across all editorial sections. Participate in regular editorial meetings providing insight and collaboration with the rest of the editorial team across all coverage areas.

* Contribute to the various annual online and print products produced around their events and standalone offerings.

Profile of Candidate Required:

* You have a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, Marketing, or a related field.

* At least 2 years of experience in publishing, digital content creation and social media.

* You have strong writing and editing skills with the ability to adapt to different tones and styles.

* In-depth knowledge of SEO techniques and experience with Google Analytics.

* Experience with content management systems (CMS) such as WordPress.

* A creative mindset with the ability to identify and develop engaging content.

* You are a team player with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

* You possess a deep knowledge and experience of covering the telecoms and tech market.

* You are willing and eligible to travel abroad and work outside of regular hours when required.
