Hours:             37 hours per week  this will include on call rota (once every 5-6 weeks) - Hybrid working

Our client, a specialist Domestic Violence charity based in Hampshire, is looking to recruit a. Outreach Project Worker to provide safety planning, support, advice, and assistance to adults in the community supporting them to keep safe in and maintain their current or new accommodation.

Synopsis of duties:

To ensure that the practical and emotional needs of victims and survivors living in the community are met including immediate and ongoing safety planning. 
To provide trauma informed group work.
On a rota basis participate in the delivery of the Pippa service as the first point of contact, information, advice, assessment and triage for victims, their children, and professionals.
To work in partnership with victims and survivors to identify the needs of their children and support them to access appropriate services.
When necessary to support women attending court, housing, or other appointments, and on occasion accompanying women back to their home with a police escort to collect belongings.
To provide advice by telephone and face-to-face to assist victims and survivors experiencing domestic abuse to understand the services available and make choices about their own future.
Advocate for victims with agencies who can help to address the domestic abuse by understanding the role of all relevant statutory and non-statutory services available to domestic abuse victims and how your role fits into them. Work directly with all key agency partners to address the safety of victims and ensuring that their safety plans are coordinated particularly through the MARAC/HRDA process.
Manage a case load ensuring every victim and survivor receives the appropriate service individual to their needs.  Focusing on safety planning, practical safety measures and the use of civil and criminal justice systems to increase protection and support the transition of victims and children from the abusive situation into safe and independent living
Develop individual support and safety plans to mitigate risk and address the support needs of victims and survivors, regularly reviewing cases ensuring that all agencies are meeting the needs of clients.
To participate in multi-agency meetings as required. .
Ensuring that all relevant records are kept accurately and confidentially in a timely manner.Essential Requirements:

An understanding and awareness of the needs of women, men and children of all ages affected by domestic abuse.
An understanding and knowledge of child protection/safeguarding and the ability to work within national, local and organisational guidelines
A full UK driving licence and use of own vehicle
