Successful manufacturer supplying product to aerospace and defence customers require a Production & Materials Planner. Applicants need experience of planning or scheduling for manufacturing, or hail from a broader materials and supply chain planning background.

The Production & Materials Planner will support manufacturing planning activities, while also collaborating closely with commercial stakeholders in regards to demand planning and SIOP.

Specific duties of the Production & Materials Planner include:

Support the creation of production plans inline with master production schedule
Support capacity planning activities
Report generation in MS Excel, MRP/ERP
Monitor inventory levels and advise procurement of shortages that could impact production plans
Support tasks around SIOP and demand planning
Process improvement activity - support the implementation of a new ERP system and optimise planning procedures

Production & Materials Planner applicants should meet the following criteria:

Experience of supply chain, materials planning, production planning or production control in manufacturing or engineering
MS Excel competency, and/or experience within an MRP/ERP system
An interest in developing competence in SIOP, S&OP, demand planning or have previous experience here
Strong communication and teamwork skills
