We are seeking a highly skilled Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Manager with a solid background in structural steel to join a leading company in the steel industry. This is an office-based role that requires an experienced professional with a minimum of 10 years in health and safety, specifically within structural steel. Key Requirements:
Experience: Minimum of 10 years in health and safety within the steel industry
Qualifications: Must hold either Tech-IOSH or CM-IOSH certification.
Background: Extensive knowledge of health and safety protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
Health and Safety Leadership: Develop, implement, and maintain health and safety policies tailored to the structural steel industry.
Training & Development: Provide regular training sessions, health checks, and ongoing support to staff to ensure compliance with safety standards.
Auditing & Compliance: Conduct regular audits and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and implement preventative measures.
Documentation & Reporting: Maintain comprehensive safety records and compile reports on health and safety performance for senior management.
Team Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, site supervisors, and other departments to ensure a unified approach to health and safety across the organisation.
About You:
You bring at least 10 years of hands-on experience in health and safety within the structural steel sector.
You possess a Tech-IOSH or CM-IOSH certification and have a thorough understanding of relevant industry standards.
Your attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and commitment to fostering a safe work environment set you apart.
You are adept at providing safety training, conducting audits, and managing risk in a fast-paced environment.
