The Burford Recruitment Company are delighted to partner with our client, a wholly independent insurance broker, on the outskirts of Swindon, who are seeking an accomplished Commercial Insurance Broker to join their expanding team.

Based at their office, you will be given an existing book of commercial clients, from SMEs to larger corporate clients and provide them with tailored insurance solutions. You will build and develop meaningful relationships by providing excellent customer service and cross sell opportunities.

Responsibilities

* Looking after existing book of commercial clients, from SMEs to larger corporate clients

* Maintaining meaningful relationships by providing excellent customer service

* Further developing the current book, by:

a. cross selling techniques and business development
b. the development of existing insurer facilities in the UK and EEA
c. developing the existing scheme and target markets

You will have:

* Worked on Commercial Insurance risks in a position of responsibility

* 7+ years’ experience in General Commercial Insurance

* 3+ years’ experience in generating and placing new business

* Driving license

* The ability to coach, train and generally provide information to the supporting team

* Excellent technical insurance knowledge

* The confidence to effectively deal with clients’ boards and board members
