Head of Prevention & Move On - Homelessness Charity

A leading homelessness charity based in Essex (in commuting distance from Romford, Brentwood, Chelmsford and Dartford) is seeking an experienced and dynamic Head of Prevention & Move On to lead their strategic homelessness prevention and resettlement services. This is a key leadership role responsible for developing innovative, client-focused solutions that prevent homelessness and support individuals in securing long-term housing stability.

Benefits:

Salary banding: £45,500 - £50,500pa DOE

Hours of work 37hrs - 9am -5pm

Death in service 3 x Salary

About the Job:

Lead the strategic direction and operational delivery of prevention and move-on services across multiple sites.

Develop and implement cutting-edge interventions to prevent homelessness and promote successful resettlement.

Manage a team of managers and coordinators, ensuring high-quality, cost-effective service delivery.

Build partnerships with local authorities, housing providers, and health services to enhance collaboration and joint service solutions.

Oversee budgets, financial forecasting, and safeguarding, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.

About You: 

Proven experience in a senior management role within homelessness, social care, or a related field.

Track record of driving service innovation and working with complex budgets.

Strong leadership and partnership-building skills, with a commitment to psychologically informed practices and safeguarding.
