Job Summary
We are seeking an Assistant Merchandiser to join out client, a leading menswear designer and retailer. As an assistant Merchandiser you will play a vital role within the team and provide essential support to the merchandising department, based at their new state of the art office in Leeds, LS15.
Duties
- Analyse and review previous season sales
- Plan and propose future strategies to drive sales
- Review best sellers, core lines, core size availability on a weekly basis
- Report and propose actions necessary to maintain effective sales and stock levels
- Liaise with suppliers to ensure timely deliveries of priority stock
- Maintain accurate records
- Understand competitors and their promotional activity to suggest appropriate action
Qualifications
- Previous experience in Merchandising (as a merchandising administrator or assistant merchandiser)
- Understanding of buying cycles, stock management and critical paths
- Ability to follow menswear market and trends
- Great IT literacy
- Strong Microsoft Office skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Great time management and organisational skills
