A great new opportunity to join a Water sector specialist who has recently been awarded tier-one framework status with Thames Water. My client, a national contractor with a company turnover of £200 million, requires a Freelance Senior Quantity Surveyor on a hybrid basis and take responsibility for the day-to-day commercial management of major projects with a value of more than £10million. Working in a regulated environment, my client has secured work until 2030 at least.

As Senior Quantity Surveyor you will:

* Have experience of applications and CVR’s.

* Prepare forecasts/reports; cost, profit/loss, value etc.

* Manage subcontract enquiries and prepare contracts.

* Be responsible for minimising cost and maximising value, ensuring controls are in place to manage and monitor the operating cost base.

Our client requires a Senior Quantity Surveyor with:

* Degree qualification in Quantity Surveying or similar.

* Experience of working for a tier one Civil Engineering contractor, ideally within the Water sector.

* Excellent communication skills.

* Experience of commercially delivering multi-million-pound schemes.

* A good knowledge of NEC suite of contracts.

Salary and benefits include:

* £425-£475 per day PAYE Umbrella
