Shift Engineer
Location: Leamington Spa
Salary: £44,500 per annum
Shift Pattern: 4 on / 4 off (days and nights)

About the Role
As a Shift Engineer, you will be an integral part of our maintenance team, ensuring the smooth operation of our high-volume production lines. You will focus on diagnosing and resolving faults, maintaining equipment, and minimising downtime. This is a hands-on role that demands technical expertise and problem-solving skills in an industrial/FMCG environment.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct electrical fault finding and repairs on industrial equipment, including motors and drives.
Work with star-delta configurations and perform diagnostics and maintenance on PLC - controlled systems.
Utilise your ability to read and interpret electrical drawings for troubleshooting and installations.
Perform HMI fault finding and corrections to ensure minimal disruption to production.
Conduct preventative maintenance tasks to ensure long-term equipment reliability.
Collaborate with production teams to address and resolve operational challenges quickly and efficiently.
Adhere to safety and quality standards while working within a high-volume manufacturing setting.
What We’re Looking For
Qualifications: Must possess a relevant electrical qualification (e.g., NVQ Level 3, 18th Edition, or equivalent).
Experience: Proven experience in industrial/FMCG or high-volume manufacturing environments, ideally within the plastics industry.
Strong background in electrical fault finding and problem-solving.
Hands-on experience with PLC systems (programming knowledge is a bonus but not essential).
Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical and electrical drawings.
Solid understanding of star-delta motor configurations.
Familiarity with HMI troubleshooting and repair.
Previous UK-based experience is essential.
