Partnering with our client, a well-established technical injection moulding manufacturer, 5S Recruitment is seeking a skilled Injection Moulding Technician to join their dynamic team.

Job Role:

• This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Mould Setter / Technician to become part of a progressive company experiencing continuous growth.
• The role is ideal for an Injection Moulding Setter / Technician with a strong understanding of injection moulding machinery, applications, and processes.
• The successful candidate will work in a state-of-the-art injection moulding facility equipped with an extensive range of modern machinery and advanced automation systems.
• As a Mould Technician, you will be responsible for managing direct reporting staff, overseeing machinery, and meeting production and quality targets, ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of production processes throughout your shift.
• You will be tasked with setting and operating injection moulding machines to achieve consistent production to approved standards.
• The Mould Technician will collaborate closely with the Section Leader and fellow Technicians to ensure effective production handovers and the communication of relevant issues.
• Key responsibilities include performing tool and colour changes, troubleshooting, and accurately diagnosing process faults.
• You will play an active role in identifying opportunities for and contributing to the company’s continuous improvement plan.
• Follow company procedures to safely mount and bolt mould tools into machines.
• Take overall responsibility for the quality of the products produced, adhering to the company’s quality systems, processes, and procedures.
• Assist with 5S, Lean, and Continuous Improvement initiatives within the company.
• Maintain general housekeeping standards, including the upkeep and hygiene of machines.
• Ensure Health & Safety, discipline, service, cost, and productivity are upheld on shift.

Required Experience:

• Proven experience within injection moulding manufacturing with a strong background in precision tool setting.
• Industry-recognized injection moulding qualifications.
• Proficiency in operating machines and robots.
• Results-driven, with the ability to work independently within a team environment.
• Strong attention to detail, especially when working under pressure.
• In-depth knowledge of injection moulding processes, applications, and procedures.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving skills with proven experience in root cause analysis.
