The role – English Teaching Assistant

I am working with SEMH school that is seeking a new English Teaching Assistant to join their team. For this role you will need to build strong rapport with the students and will need to cater to their individual needs, you must have experience of working with SEMH. For this English Teaching Assistant role, you will need to support the teacher, have strong subject knowledge and provide emotional and behavioural support for the students. You will be working in and out of the class with the students on a 1:1 basis. You will be required to assist with administrative tasks and be an effective and proactive person.

This SEMH school is based in Bromley and caters for students aged 7 – 13 years old. The school’s focus is on developing core skills of literacy and numeracy, whilst offering a broad range of other curriculum areas to provide real interest for their pupils. They have been awarded an overall effectiveness grade of Good with Leadership and Management being graded as Outstanding by Ofsted. The school has great transport links, the closest train station being Orpington and the local R9 bus route.
