We are currently seeking for an Ofsted Registered Manager for one of our client’s new Residential homes based in Liverpool.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Ensure compliance with Ofsted inspection standards and the Children's Homes Regulations 2015, while staying up to date with any new legislation or guidance that may arise.
* Drive positive outcomes by delivering high-quality support services that prioritize the well-being and development of children.
* Collaborate with registered managers, the Head of Operations, and the Director of Operations to review, monitor, and improve residential services, contributing to the overall strategic direction and continuous improvement of the provision.
Property Management
* Manage and coordinate the home’s operations, ensuring all day-to-day needs are met efficiently and effectively.
* Ensure adherence to health and safety policies, making sure staff consistently follow guidelines and procedures at all times.
* Oversee the development and regular review of comprehensive, person-centred plans for each child and young person, ensuring these plans are detailed and updated as necessary.
* Ensure children and young people are actively included and consulted in all aspects of their daily lives, promoting their involvement and choice.
* Facilitate a safe, welcoming, and homely environment, promptly addressing any issues that could negatively affect this atmosphere.
* Collaborate with other residential managers, promoting teamwork and continuity of care across services.
* Monitor the health needs of children and young people, working closely with local statutory services to ensure the best possible outcomes for their well-being.
Management Of Support
* Ensure staff support children and young people in achieving their learning outcomes, aligned with their individual learner profiles.
* Facilitate effective communication and collaboration with educational institutions and school staff to support children’s educational progress.
* Encourage participation in enjoyable activities, promoting engagement and personal development for children and young people.
* Promote privacy, dignity, and respect as core principles of the support provided, while remaining vigilant about their overall well- being, including health and safeguarding.
* Serve as the Designated Safeguarding Lead, overseeing safeguarding responsibilities across the home.
* Facilitate regular meetings and key worker sessions, ensuring that each child and young person is listened to and their needs are addressed.
Staff Management
* Provide line management to children's home staff, ensuring compliance with Ofsted requirements and support staff teams to deliver personalised care for children and young people.
* Ensure staffing levels meet contracted support hours for each individual child and young person.
* Plan and facilitate regular staff meetings, encouraging active participation and ensuring follow-through on required actions.
* Implement regular staff supervision, performance management, and annual appraisals, while providing ongoing coaching and mentoring.
* Ensure all staff attend mandatory training, and that additional relevant training is completed to meet the needs of the home, organization, and legislative requirements.
* Participate in the recruitment and interviewing of new staff to maintain high standards of care and professionalism.
* Establish robust communication systems to ensure new information about children and young people is shared appropriately, such as shift plans and reports.
* Maintain confidentiality and follow information-sharing protocols, ensuring sensitive information is only shared on a need-to-know basis.
REQUIREMENTS:
* NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification in a relevant field.
* Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care (or willingness to undertake training to achieve this qualification).
* Willingness to register as a manager with Ofsted (through completion of the SC2 form).
* Hold a Full UK Driving License and have access to your own vehicle
