SF Recruitment have partnered with a growing blue collar business based in Lichfield. They are seeking a CIPD qualified HR Advisor that has the ability to work as stand alone. You will work closely with the leadership team and play a pivotal role in ensuring compliance, driving performance management, and fostering a positive work environment within a dynamic business.
This role offers the opportunity to build a robust HR function while enjoying hybrid working (3 office, 2 home once settled into role).
Salary: £40,000 - £45,000
Role Requirements
- Employee Relations (ER): Provide advice and support to managers on performance management, absence management, and employee grievances. Lead and implement performance improvement plans as needed.
- Policy & Procedure Management: Regularly review and update HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance with employment laws and industry best practices.
- TUPE Management: Support and manage processes related to acquisitions and TUPE transfers.
- ISO Compliance: Act as the ISO compliance champion, ensuring adherence to environmental laws, regulations, and legal registers.
- HR System Management: Set up and maintain the BrightHR system, ensuring accurate employee data and reporting.
- Payroll Support: Collaborate with outsourced payroll providers to ensure accurate monthly reporting, overtime calculations, and payroll changes.
- Recruitment & Onboarding: Oversee new starter and leaver processes, ensuring a seamless experience for all employees.
- Manager Coaching: Provide training and guidance to managers, particularly department heads, on HR best practices and compliance.
- Performance Reviews: Enforce and improve the performance review process to drive accountability and employee development.
- Contract Management: Review and update employment contracts, ensuring clarity and compliance.
Required
- Qualifications: CIPD Level 5 qualified (or equivalent).
- Experience: HR advisory experience within a logistics, warehouse, or similar fast-paced environment preferred.
- Skills:
o Strong knowledge of employment law and HR best practices.
o Proficiency in HR systems (experience with BrightHR is a plus).
o Experience with TUPE and compliance management desirable.
o Excellent interpersonal and coaching skills to guide and influence managers.
o Confidence to manage standalone responsibilities and work collaboratively with a hands-on leadership team
