Engineering Duty Manager – Food Manufacturer

Salary: £62,000 + Pension + Benefits

Shift Pattern - Panama shift- 7am/7pm

My client a market leading food manufacturer to all the major multiples is looking to expand its management team at its Harrogate manufacturing plant. The company are an extremely well established business, with over 100 years experience within their chosen field of specialism. This rapidly expanding group has doubled in size, turn over wise, in the last 5 years alone, therefore, there is excellent scope for future career advancement.

Key Skills

* Apprentice Trained Engineer in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering

* Previous experience in management or supervisory position

* Understanding of PPM systems, CMMS systems

The Role

They are looking for an Engineering Manager. The successful candidate will be from an engineering management background with an understanding of engineering standards and legislative compliance.

On a day to day basis, you will be responsible for.

* Maintenance Engineers on 24/7 Shift. This includes workload, holidays, sickness, performance, and training.

* Coordinate the planned and reactive maintenance activities of the engineers.

* Be responsible for ensuring legislative compliance with relevant regulations across operations.

* An apprentice trained Mechanical, Electrical or Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer.

* A good level of IT skills including Microsoft Office and CMMS (computerised Maintenance Management System).

* Ideally from food/FMCG but will consider other industries.
