* Full time (37 hours per week) all year round
* £23,500 - £23,893 (actual), dependent on experience

The Role
We are seeking a proactive and reliable Caretaker to join our dedicated team. You will play a key role in maintaining the cleanliness, security, and functionality of our college premises.
Key Responsibilities:
* Ensure all tasks are performed in line with Health and Safety Regulations.
* Manage cleanliness, heating, lighting, and safety across the college.
* Maintain a tidy and hygienic environment, including routine cleaning and emergency response.
* Oversee minor repairs and maintenance of fixtures, fittings, and heating systems.
* Operate and maintain lighting and ventilation systems.
* Conduct regular safety checks and fire alarm tests.
* Handle furniture movement, porterage of deliveries, and preparation for college functions.
* Respond to emergency call-outs and perform first aid as needed.

The Ideal Candidate:
We are looking for someone with a strong background in health and safety, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage and prioritise tasks efficiently. You will:
* Have a proven track record in maintaining compliance with Health and Safety Regulations.
* Communicate effectively with external service providers and manage staff.
* Understand COSH and other relevant regulatory guidelines.
* Manage cleaning staff and prioritize workload effectively.
