About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced Intermediate/Senior Electrical Estimator to join their dynamic Commercial team. The ideal candidate will have at least 8 years of practical estimating experience and should be comfortable working independently and collaboratively within a team. This is a long-term opportunity, and candidates are expected to be based within a reasonable commuting distance.

Experience in Healthcare, Commercial, and Education projects will be highly advantageous.

Key Responsibilities:

* Evaluate bid specifications and drawings to gather information for accurate project bids.

* Manage project costs from initial calculations to final figures, ensuring value for money while maintaining quality and standards.

* Track contract variations affecting costs and prepare profitability reports.

* Prepare tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities.

* Conduct cost analyses for repair and maintenance work.

* Assist in establishing client requirements and perform feasibility studies.

* Implement risk management and cost control strategies.

* Advise on procurement strategies and funding sources.

* Analyze and prepare costings for tenders and submit bids.

* Provide advice on contractual claims and write progress reports.

* Maintain awareness of current building contracts and health and safety regulations.

Candidate Requirements

* A minimum of 5 years’ experience in Electrical Estimating, managing packages exceeding £1 million.

* Strong technical knowledge of Electrical installation methods and pricing.

* Excellent mathematical and IT skills.

* Proficiency in software such as Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, BillSoft, and estimating tools.
