PART TIME - SEMI RETIRED FINANCIAL MANAGER POSITION
Job Description – Finance Manager
Financial/Administrative responsibility for:
The Peoples Orchestra – Finance Manager/Clerk to Trustees
The Peoples Production Company Limited – Director
The Change Consortium CIC – Director
The Peoples Orchestra (TPO)
Maintain Accounting Records for Audit by External Charity Auditors (ER Grove) – liaise over completion of Statutory Accounts and prepare Trustees Report. Using online Quickbooks)
Manage Payroll / HMRC/VAT Requirements. Maintain payments
Manage contracts for all employed and self-employed staff (use Peninsula BrightHR/Bright Pay)
Manage payments for all contractors/employees, etc
Manage Petty Cash – maintain balance
Cash Flow forecasts / Grant Funding Reporting / Management Reports
Charity Specific – File Accounts, Present Period accounts to the Board of Trustees, Work of Financial Reports re. Grants/NPO. Attend Board Meetings and maintain records/minutes.

Maintain Accounting Records using Online Quickbooks
Manage re-charges to/from TPO
Salaries / HMRC/VAT requirements for TPPC
Manage contracts for all employed and self employed staff
Manage payments for all contractors/employees, etc
Liaise with Making Music on OTR Accounts and Tax Computations
The Change Consortium CIC (TCC)
Maintain accounting records using desktop Quickbooks
Prepare/submit Statutory Accounts and Annual Report
Maintain HMRC requirements
Ad hoc funding analysis for Grant Funders, as required.
Administration/Reporting/General
Ability to work under own initiative
Ability to work to strict reporting deadlines
Good team player and willing to adapt to the needs of the business
Weekend and evenings are required at times, with TOIL (employed) or paid if freelance
Requirements
This position is ideal for someone looking to semi-retire or looking for part time employment. Experience and knowledge of accounting for charities is desirable, along with the ability to prepare unaudited accounts for filing with Companies House and the use of software packages mentioned above.
The applicant should provide a covering letter to explain why they are looking for part time charity work and provide a CV. The applicant should be aware that the interview process will involve a casual discussion, in person, plus a formal appointment interview, during October, with a view to start the role in November ( working in tandem with the current Finance Manager.

Pay: £7,000.00-£20,000.00 per year
