Health and Safety Officer / H&S / NEBOSH / Redditch / £28,000 

Health and Safety Officer - Are you passionate about promoting a positive health and safety culture? We're looking for a Health and Safety Officer to join a fantastic manufacturing business. Reporting to the Health and Safety Manager, you'll play a key role in ensuring compliance with occupational health and safety standards while driving continuous improvement across the business.

Location: Redditch
Salary: £26,000 - £28, 000
Skills: H&S Experience / NVQ Level 3 

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in the creation, review, and maintenance of operational risk assessments.
Develop and implement safe working procedures, considering all relevant hazards.
Conduct regular site inspections and audits, ensuring corrective actions are taken. 
Investigate accidents/incidents and recommend measures to prevent recurrence.
Provide training and guidance on key H&S areas (fire safety, first aid, manual handling, etc.).
Carry out COSHH assessments and maintain accurate records.
Support Directors and Managers in making compliant, safety-driven decisions.

What We're Looking For:

Relevant H&S qualification (NVQ Level 3 / NEBOSH General Certificate).
Strong organisational and multitasking skills.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to train and engage staff at all levels.
A proactive team player with a passion for driving H&S standards.
Computer literacy (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Desirable (but not essential):

Previous experience in a Health & Safety role.
Knowledge of ISO 45001 and experience in a manufacturing environment.
Membership of IOSH (or similar institution).
