ayroll Specialist (Interim/Contract - 12 Months)
Full Time (Hybrid)
Paying – £50,000 - £60,000
We are partnering with a client in Manchester who are looking for a Payroll Specialist to manage all aspects of manual payroll processing until a new system is implemented soon. You must be able to lead on all things payroll and have experience that will allow you to take the lead on a number of future projects.
Key responsibilities of the Payroll Specialist:
Checking timesheets to see how many hours employees worked
Calculating correct employee pay by considering hours worked, overtime rates, taxes, national insurance payments
Processing payments for all staff
Processing holiday, sick, maternity and paternity leave payments
Answering employee questions about their timesheets and payslips
Distributing forms such as P45, P60 and P11d
Processing PAYE deductions and sending payroll information to HM Revenue and Customs
Obtaining and verifying direct debit banking information from employees
Key requirements for the Payroll Specalist:
Must have at 5 years relevant experience
Strong commercial acumen and financial analysis skills
Excellent IT skills including a high level of proficiency in Excel
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Highly organised and methodical
Accurate, with high attention to detail
Good team player, yet willing to take personal responsibility for issues
Self-motivated, resourceful and keen to learn and share knowledge
