Social Media Strategist – Hybrid, London.
£50,000 - £65,000 DOE.
**Please note it is a neccessity to have agency-side experience for this role**
The Role
Do you have a deep understanding of and great passion for social media with at least 7 years of professional social media experience? (including at least 3 years of agency experience, as a strategist).
Are you a bit of a social media all-rounder; you love researching audience insights, conducting competitor analysis, working out the best platform/content approach and enjoy advising on best in class creative?
Have you got a flair for social-first content storytelling and are able to identify relevant topics and give them a fresh look and feel for a range of different clients and sectors?
Do you enjoy the pitch process, including interrogating briefs, understanding client challenges, researching audiences and competitors, crafting a story, creating slides that deliver impact and enjoy standing up in a room and presenting your work?
Do you enjoy digging into the numbers and conducting analysis to uncover the ‘Why?’ and enjoy the process of continual, always on improvement?
Do you have experience of managing clients from a diverse portfolio and want to work within a fun culture in a fast-paced environment?
If you answered “yes” to the above… then we’re looking for an experienced, committed and enthusiastic mid-weight Social Media Strategist to join superb and rapidly growing independent social media agency. The Social Media Strategist will bring pivotal insight about digital behaviours to strategic and creative discussions. They will be plugged into the latest platform developments, proactively share social trends, be confident at presenting and can help guide creative ideas and recommend best approaches for the agency’s clients on a continual basis.
Must Have Experience
* 7+ years proven professional social media experience
* 3+ years at an agency as a social media strategist
* Excellent analytical skills and deep working knowledge of social listening and insights/analytics (organic and paid) across all key social media platforms (Meta, TikTok, LinkedIn, X, YouTube) as well as wider sources including analyst reports, journals, surveys, studies, Google Trends etc.
* Proven client management experience of senior leaders across a wide range of sectors, including, but not limited to FMCG, travel, retail, E-commerce, property/placemaking
* A great track record of helping to win new business pitches and delivering meaningful impact via strategic insight for ongoing, retained clients.
* A deep-rooted knowledge of the latest organic algorithm updates, paid insights and influencer/creator markets.
* The proven ability to craft impactful presentations and deliver them in-person or via video calls to senior client leaders.

Day To Day Tasks
Take the lead on all one-off strategy/playbook projects for clients and confidently present strategic recommendations to client teams with minimal supervision.
Assist the Managing Director, Founder and Client Service Team with new business pitches.
Conduct research, interviews, brainstorming sessions and workshops to help improve our creative output and deliver impact for clients.
Stay on top of new behaviours, platforms and tools that will impact all client work.
Lead the agency’s ongoing internal trends workflow and platform knowledge updates to ensure that creative work is part of the wider cultural conversation, and output is delivered to the right people in the right places.
Help advise Client Service Teams on ongoing reporting recommendations informed by data for key retained clients, and help them set and track platform-specific KPIs.
Partner with Client Service Teams to ensure that accounts are continually delivering best in class work with impact.
Work closely with the existing Client Service Team and Studio Team to devise best in class/winning social media campaigns.
Work closely with the Paid Media Manager to devise best in class/winning campaigns that deliver against campaign objectives.
Please note, this is the agency’s first Strategy hire, therefore while the above is a good summation of tasks there may well be other projects to be involved in as we bed in any new hire.
The Agency Offer
A competitive salary, from £50k-£65k per annum, depending on experience.
25 days paid annual leave + a day off for your birthday + ability to earn more A/L depending upon targets.
2 weeks work from anywhere per year.
