Manufacturing Process Engineer

Knaresborough, up to £32k DOE

Excellent opportunity to work in a challenging manufacturing process improvement role in the Knaresborough area.

The role would suit either an experienced engineer or a graduate with previous placement experience in a relevant position.

The role:

Assess machinery and chemical processes looking for opportunities to implement improvements and resolve manufacturing issues
Lead and support operational improvement projects, including lean initiatives, process and process flow improvements
Assist with new product introduction, Produce and ensure SOP's
Undertake time and motion studies and work with maintenance and production teams to improve where possible
Practical problem solving, root cause analysis and rectification
Undertake projects on existing production to improve output and qualityThe person:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent in manufacturing or chemical engineering
Understanding of modern techniques and systems in manufacturing improvement.
Experience of manufacturing control systems and associated control of data fields
Good understanding of problem-solving techniques such as 8D
Confident trainer and able to communicate at all levels
Able to influence changeBenefits
