Mission Statement: The Account Director will drive sustainable growth and profitability by managing a diverse portfolio of 200 accounts. This role involves strategic relationship-building and proactive business development to enhance client satisfaction and maximise revenue, aligning with the organisation's ambitious goals.
Overall Purpose of the Role: To oversee a portfolio of clients, drive business growth, maintain strong relationships, and work closely with management to implement strategies that support the company’s vision.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Account Management:
* Manage 200 accounts to ensure exceptional service and client satisfaction.
* Serve as clients’ primary point of contact, providing timely responses to inquiries and concerns.
2. Business Development:
* Identify and pursue growth opportunities within existing accounts.
* Develop targeted strategies to attract new business from current clients.
* Conduct regular meetings with clients to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions.
3. Strategic Collaboration:
* Report directly to the management director on account performance and overall progress.
* Collaborate with management to strategise on account development and identify business growth initiatives.
* Work with team members to create customised approaches for each account.
4. Performance Tracking:
* Monitor and analyse account performance metrics to gauge growth and return on investment.
* Prepare reports that highlight successes, challenges, and actionable insights.
5. Client Relationship Building:
* Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with key stakeholders in each account.
* Conduct regular check-ins and feedback sessions to ensure continued alignment with client goals.
Qualifications:
* Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, or a related field.
Experience:
At least 5 years in account management or business development roles, preferably in a related industry.
Skills:
* Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Proven experience managing a large portfolio of accounts.
* Proficiency in CRM software and account management tools.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
* Achieve at least 5 face-to-face meetings with clients per week.
* Increase the profitability of existing accounts consistently.
* Contribute to achieving a turnover of £1 million, with a target of £3 million in revenue next year.
* Maintain a high client retention rate.
* Generate new business opportunities from current clients to support overall growth.
