Based at our Birmingham Office (Hybrid working 3 days in the office, 2 days at home). Travel to other offices/sites will be required

Fixed Term Contract from September 2024 to December 2025, Full-time, Monday - Friday 37 hours

If so, we have a fantastic opportunity to join our leading, well respected water technologies company, where you will play a pivotal role in collaborating with senior leaders and business stakeholders to develop and implement people strategies and initiatives that align with the overall business objectives. The HRBP will develop and implement appropriate development plans and organisational structures in order to achieve the strategic objectives, including talent management, engagement, employee relations and systems/process improvement. In HR, you'll be at the forefront of our evolving business, ensuring we attract and retain the best people to carry our business forward. Working closely with teams across VWT, you'll have the chance to be involved in a variety of projects, covering the full employment lifecycle, from recruitment and retention to learning and development programmes. With a wide scope for change, development, and growth, there's never a dull moment.

Your responsibilities will include but not limited to:

Work alongside the Talent Acquisition Team to support with the recruitment of staff (permanent/agency/contractors/graduates/apprentices) and provide creative solutions to resource challenges, e.g. structures, role accountabilities, performance, ambition, workforce planning, in line with business strategy.
Promote and monitor all employee onboarding and induction processes to ensure managers utilise the organisations onboarding process.
Ensure training and development is planned, undertaken and reviewed to ensure ROI
Support the HR Advisor where applicable with Employee Relation cases.
Manage all complex Employee Relation and Employee Wellbeing cases and ensure learning outcomes are managed. Advise and coach managers on employee relations and performance issues.
Manage the Performance Review and Development process within your designated business area.
Identify and monitor appropriate training methods/solutions.
Build the capability of managers through coaching to assist them to maximise potential and consistency throughout the business.
Assist in the delivery of development workshops in areas of HR Best practice to enhance knowledge and skill across the organisation.
Assist in the annual salary review process, discussing and agreeing appropriate changes with people managers.
Drive improvements in organisational capability by challenging the management team to drive a performance management culture through their teams and to advise on best practice, organisation design and development.
Ensure Central HR policies, processes and initiatives are communicated and deployed effectively.
Produce Monthly statistics and Reports
Work alongside the management team to ensure PDP or development plans are in place for all low performing or high performing employees.
Ensure that managers complete in a timely manner the annual appraisal tool and develop feedback/review meetings during the year with their employees.
Undertake projects and any other work reasonably requested in line with the HR and Business Strategies.

General requirements for the role:

A CIPD level qualification (Level 5/Level 7 Diploma), university degree, or an extensive amount of practical knowledge gained through experience.
Senior HR generalist experience covering recruitment, training and development is essential
Proven ER and employment law knowledge.
Good understanding and application of procedures and concepts of one's own discipline.
A team player, who acts with a sense of urgency in a fast paced changing environment.
Ability to work under pressure and problem solve.
Passionate about the business and the people within it by making a difference.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Demonstrate sound judgement.
Proven coaching and mentoring capability up to Director level.
Active partner within your stakeholder group.
Curious mindset.
Excellent computer literacy with the ability to use Google applications.
