Dunbar Education is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Cover Supervisor to join a vibrant and inclusive secondary school in Tamworth. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring continuity of education during teacher absences by supervising and engaging students in pre-set work.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise and manage classrooms in the absence of the regular teacher
Ensure students stay on task with pre-set activities
Maintain a positive and productive learning environment
Implement the school's behavior policies effectively
Provide support to students where necessary and address any immediate issues or concerns
Liaise with teaching staff and senior leadership as required

Requirements:

Experience working with children or young people in an educational setting
Strong classroom management skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to engage and motivate students
Adaptability and flexibility to work in a dynamic school environment
A positive attitude and a commitment to student welfare and achievement
Relevant qualifications or a willingness to undergo training (e.g., degree, TA qualification, etc.)

Desirable:

Previous experience as a Cover Supervisor or in a similar role
Knowledge of the UK National Curriculum
First Aid training
