An expanding business based in Liphook is looking for an Accounts Payable Assistant on a part time temporary basis (minimum of 3 months). This role would suit someone who has experience in a similar role and who is immediately available or available at short notice.
Accounts Payable Assistant - About The Role
Reporting into the Finance Manager and working within the wider finance team, the Accounts Payable Assistant will have primary responsibility for the Accounts Payable functions within the business.
Main responsibilities will include:
* Raise purchase orders, ensuring correct coding and authorisations obtained
* Review and verify invoices
* Match invoices to purchase orders, inputting to finance software
* Process staff expenses
* Initiate the payment of invoices and raise BACS runs
* Carry out regular bank reconciliations
* Take responsibility for petty cash transactions and reconciliation
* Research and resolve invoice discrepancies and issues
The successful Accounts Payable Assistant will have:
* Significant Accounts Payable experience
* Good Excel skills
* Attention to detail and accuracy
* Positive mental attitude and a good team player
