Supply Teaching Assistant
Location: York, North Yorkshire

Salary: £1805 – £2080 per month
Contract: Supply, Part Time, Full Time

GSL Education is looking for Teaching Assistants to work on a supply basis in York, North Yorkshire. As a supply Teaching Assistant you can work around your schedule, with flexible working opportunities local to York City Centre and the surrounding areas. Supply Teaching Assistant Responsibilities:

Working in Secondary Schools in York, providing 1:1 and small group basis support with young people with special educational needs.
Providing academic support to Key Stage 3 and GCSE students, under the direction of class teachers.
Supporting teaching and learning by delivering pre-planned learning activities on a 1:1 and small group basis.
Developing positive and supportive relationships with young people, being aware of their differing needs.
Promoting high expectations of all pupils being committed to raising educational standards.
Supply Teaching Assistant Requirements:

Have a Level 2 qualification or higher, related to childcare or health and social care.
Have experience and knowledge of special educational needs, including learning difficulties, autism and ADHD.
Be a compassionate, proactive, forward-thinking, dynamic and flexible individual.
Be passionate about supporting children and young people with additional needs and have a genuine desire to help young people overcome their barriers to learning and reach their full potential.
