Machine Shop Team Leader required to join a well-established Manufacturing company that is based in the Swadlincote area and specialise in conveying & specialist handling equipment for the food, beverage & pharmaceutical industry. The successful candidate will be expected to run the machines shop which consists of two Hurco TM8 Lathes and two VM1/10 Milling machines.

Machine Shop Team Leader Job Overview

Organising the workload around yourself and two Machinists, ensuring parts are completed on schedule.
Programming Setting and Operating
2-axis turning centre lathe work, predominately using stainless steel (Hurco TM8 Lathes)
Reporting any production issues through to the Production Management
Maintain a clean and safe work environment

Machine Shop Team Leader Job Requirements

Experience in a Management or Team Leader role.
At least five years' experience working with and programming CNC lathes
Hurco Lathe machine experience preferred but not essential.
Be able to machine one-off prototype components.
Be confident working with tight tolerances.
Experience working with various materials, predominately stainless steel.
Be able to read and understand engineering drawings.
The ability to work well as part of a team but also be able to work well under own initiative.

Machine Shop Team Leader Salary & Benefits

Full time - Permanent position
Monday to Friday - 40 hour week
Salary - £19ph - £21ph (DOE)
