Alecto Recruitment is currently recruiting for a Heavy Plant Fitter based in the Birmingham area

Our client is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Heavy Plant Fitter to join their team. As a Heavy Plant Fitter, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing a range of heavy plant machinery, including excavators, bulldozers, loaders, cranes, dump trucks, and other specialized equipment.

On Offer:

£37,000 - £40,000 Basic Salary for a 40 hour week
Vehicle and Fuel Card
High amount of overtime offered

Comprehensive training and development opportunitiesRequirements:

Experience in maintaining and repairing heavy plant machinery such as excavators, bulldozers, loaders, cranes, and dump trucks.
Knowledge of hydraulic, electrical and mechanical systems.
NVQ level 3 in Heavy Plant Maintenance or equivalent.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Good communication skills and ability to work with different stakeholder
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
A commitment to workplace health and safety.
A valid driver's license.
Experience working on machinery from a range of manufacturers, including Caterpillar, Komatsu, Volvo, Hitachi, JCB, and Liebherr, among others.
Experience working on a variety of heavy plant vehicles, such as excavators, bulldozers, loaders, cranes, dump trucks, and other specialized equipment, is preferredResponsibilities:

Equipment Maintenance: Perform regular maintenance and inspections on mobile heavy plant machinery.
Troubleshooting and Repairs: Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues in heavy plant equipment.
Scheduled Servicing: Follow maintenance schedules and carry out routine servicing of mobile heavy plant machinery.
Safety Compliance: Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards while working on mobile heavy plant machinery.
Parts and Inventory Management: Maintain an inventory of spare parts, tools, and equipment necessary for repairs and maintenance.
