My client is a well-established and customer-focused automotive service provider, offering a wide range of services including MOT testing, repairs, and fast-fit solutions. They pride themselves on delivering high-quality service to their customers and are looking for an experienced MOT Tester / Fast Fit Technician to join their growing team.

Job Description

As an MOT Tester / Fast Fit Technician, you will be responsible for performing MOT tests on a variety of vehicles, diagnosing issues, and carrying out repairs and fast-fit services such as tyre changes, brakes, and exhaust work. Your role will ensure that vehicles meet road safety standards and that our customers receive exceptional service.

Key Responsibilities:

* Conduct MOT tests on vehicles in accordance with regulatory standards.

* Perform diagnostic checks and identify faults on vehicles.

* Carry out repairs and fast-fit services, including tyre fitting, brake work, exhaust replacement, and other related tasks.

* Ensure all work complies with the latest health and safety guidelines.

* Provide excellent customer service, offering advice and guidance on repairs or maintenance needed.

* Maintain accurate records of MOT tests, repairs, and parts used.

* Keep the work area clean and organized, ensuring efficient workflow.

* Work collaboratively with other team members to meet service targets.

Qualifications and Skills:

* Valid Class 4 MOT Tester license (essential).

* Relevant qualifications in vehicle maintenance (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent).

* Experience in fast-fit services, such as tyre changes, brake and exhaust work.

* Strong diagnostic skills and the ability to perform a variety of repairs.

* Excellent attention to detail and high standards of workmanship.

* A proactive approach to health and safety.

* Full, clean driving license.

* Strong communication and customer service skills.
