I am recruiting an experienced Mobile Plant Engineer for my client the UK's leading Structural Steel manufacturer, This role will ensure plant availability and provide essential engineering support across all their UK facilities. This role offers a fantastic opportunity for career progression.
The role offers a GREAT 4 day shift pattern - Monday - Thursday 7.00am - 4.45pm
Competitive salary starting at £38k per annum
The successful Mobile Plant Engineer will be responsible for:
Plant Maintenance: Ensuring all plant assets are maintained and conducting regular PPM services to meet operational demands.
Machine Malfunction Rectification: Diagnosing and correcting machine malfunctions, ensuring equipment operates safely and efficiently.
Property Maintenance: Managing all aspects of property maintenance and ensuring work areas, including workshops and storage facilities, are well maintained.
Risk Management: Conducting and documenting full risk assessments prior to any engineering activity, and ensuring adherence to safe systems of work.
Training & Development: Providing engineering training to new starters and apprentices, and overseeing large installations and machine relocations.
Workload Management: Ensuring all maintenance workloads are managed efficiently, with regular communication to resolve issues quickly.
Health & Safety Compliance: Implementing company Health and Safety policies, ensuring all engineering tasks are risk-assessed, and managing contractor activities.In return, the successful Mobile Plant Engineer will be part of a company that values technical expertise and offers:

Qualifications: Formal Engineering accreditation (EITB), City & Guilds/BTEC, and ideally IEE 17th edition wiring regulations.
Experience: A strong mechanical and electrical maintenance background, with proven competency in CNC machine tools, PLC-controlled machinery (Siemens preferred), pneumatics, hydraulics, and material handling systems.
Skills: Excellent fault-finding abilities, experience with PPM systems, and strong Health and Safety awareness.
Attributes: Good communication and team-working skills, a proactive and flexible attitude, and the ability to prioritise and work unsupervised.Ready to Make a Difference?
