Job Title: Racking Installations Supervisor

Location: Midlands – Willing to travel

We are a leading automation management and mechanical installation company specialising in warehouse construction and automated intralogistics solutions. With significant growth over the past three years and even more anticipated, we are looking for a dedicated Supervisor to become an essential part of our close-knit team.

We are seeking a seasoned Racking Installations Supervisor with a background in steel racking and storage systems. Ideal candidates will have at least 5 years of experience in the storage and assembly industry. This role offers the potential for career advancement to Installation Manager as our company grows.

Key Responsibilities for the Racking Installations Supervisor:

* Resource & Equipment Management: Coordinate with the management team to plan and allocate resources and equipment for upcoming installations. Maintain and catalog company inventory, including tools and equipment.

* Site Supervision: Oversee racking and storage installation sites, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.

* Installation Assessment: Evaluate structural drawings to determine necessary resources and time for installation. Ensure the appropriate access equipment is used for safe installation practices.

* Team Direction: Guide the installation team through the correct sequence of operations based on engineering drawings and instructions. Conduct quality inspections of completed work, checking alignment, verticality, and positioning of steel structures.

* Safety & Compliance: Ensure installation team adherence to safety protocols as per risk assessments and provide guidance on using lifting equipment. Brief the team on installation methodologies and safe working systems.

* Reporting & Collaboration: Issue daily and weekly progress reports. Work closely with project managers and engineers to align assembly processes with project schedules and specifications. Address and resolve any issues that arise during the installation process.

* Communication: Maintain effective communication with project managers, clients, and stakeholders, providing updates and addressing concerns.

* Leadership & Development: Mentor and lead the installation team, fostering professional growth. Stay updated on industry trends and regulations, sharing relevant information with the team.

Qualifications:

* SMSTS – CITB Site Manager Safety Training Scheme.

* First Aid at Work.

* SIERS Supervisor.

* CSCS.

* Manual Handling.

* IPAF 3a.

* Counterbalance Forklift Truck.

* Reach Truck.

Experience of the Racking Installations Supervisor:

* Minimum of 5 years in a supervisory role within installation
