We are seeking a structural engineer to join a recently established consultancy, joining the structural team in its formative stages to expand their capacity for commercial, domestic, and industrial engineering solutions. This is a fantastic opportunity to be involved with growing the team, whilst receiving support and guidance from the company Director.

The company is based in Attleborough (Norfolk) between Thetford and Norwich on the A11 corridor, and is excellently situated for ease of commuting, whilst taking advantage of hybrid & flexible working to maintain a great balance of personal and work life.

Competitive salary with review following 6-month probation period and annual reviews.Experience And Skills Required for this Structural Engineer role:

Progression towards MIStructE/MICE Chartered membership
Excellent communication skills, in both written and spoken English
Hold a current UK driving licence
Structural design experience in core materials; Concrete, Steel, Masonry, and Timber
A high level of competence with AutoCAD, with experience of Revit being advantageous
Modelling package experience with Tekla Tedds & Structural Designer, Masterseries would be advantageous
Experience in conducting structural surveys and drafting reports
Experience of processes, tools, and techniques for the design of structural assets
Experience of refurbishment and change of use designs as well as new build projects
Ability to work on own initiative and seek assistance when requiredThe responsibilities of this Structural Engineer role include:

Reporting to the Company Director as required
Conduct detailed design calculations to up-to-date Eurocodes
Manage the delivery of design for a portfolio of projects and assets
Co-ordinating the detailed design drawings and preparing specifications for tender and construction purposes
Assisting with the delivery of high-quality solutions across a variety of sectors for clients and project
stakeholders
Assist with the management of all the team's projects, resources and making key commercial decisions on fee
spend to suit an ever-changing broad spectrum of projects
Collaborate with design teams both within ARD and externally to deliver structural design solutions to agreed
timescales and budgets
