BX2 are currently recruiting for a Warehouse Team Leader for an established distribution company.

Skills, Experience, and education required:

Previous experience as a Warehouse Team Leader

* Experience managing a team of Operatives

* Experience managing performance, absence, lateness etc

* FLT experience (Desirable)

* Knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems

* Ability to work in multiple temperatures

* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Warehouse Team Leader

Key Responsibilities and Duties

As a Warehouse Team Leader, your role will include:

• Ensure all vehicles are loaded securely and accurately to prevent damage and ensure safe transport.
• Oversee the picking, checking, and loading of orders to ensure they are completed on schedule.
• Identify and address any training needs among staff, ensuring all team members are adequately trained.

• Act as the primary point of contact for all staff welfare needs, providing support and guidance.
• Open the site at the beginning of the workweek and ensure proper security measures are in place.
• Complete a thorough handover with the incoming and outgoing shift managers to ensure continuity and effective communication.
• Assess the workload and time constraints, assigning tasks efficiently to ensure smooth operations.
• Enforce strict adherence to all health and safety procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
• Ensure company cleaning protocols are consistently followed across the site.
• Perform regular checks of freezer and chiller temperatures to maintain food safety standards.
• Conduct daily walkarounds to monitor site cleanliness and safety, responding quickly to any issues or concerns.
• Track staff punctuality and attendance, and take appropriate action
