Health & Safety Manager
Location: Elanco Site, Speke
Salary: Up to £47,000 per annum
Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Health & Safety Manager to oversee and enhance health and safety practices at our Elanco site in Speke. This critical role will ensure compliance, promote a safety-first culture, and minimize risk across the site’s operations. You’ll play a key role in maintaining a safe working environment and ensuring that health and safety practices meet both legal requirements and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop, implement, and maintain robust health and safety policies, procedures, and management systems in alignment with legal and industry standards at the Elanco site.
* Conduct regular risk assessments, audits, and inspections to identify hazards and ensure workplace safety compliance.
* Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, producing detailed reports and recommending corrective actions.
* Provide guidance, training, and support to site teams and stakeholders to build a strong safety culture.
* Monitor and ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental legislation, including COSHH, RIDDOR, and CDM regulations.
* Collaborate with internal teams, contractors, and stakeholders to align safety practices and ensure consistent implementation across the site.
* Lead health and safety committees and act as the primary point of contact for regulatory bodies.
* Keep up-to-date with changes in legislation and industry best practices, advising on necessary adaptations to policies or procedures.

What We’re Looking For:
* Proven experience in a Health & Safety Manager role, preferably within the facilities management, manufacturing, or related industries.
* Strong knowledge of UK health and safety legislation and industry standards.
* NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent qualification (Chartered membership of IOSH is a plus).
* Exceptional communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a proactive and detail-oriented approach.
