Our client is currently seeking a Product Design Engineer to support their R&D function.

This is a great opportunity for an Engineering professional, educated to degree level as a minimum, with solid post-study working experience designing and developing industrial products to join a world leading organisation, working with Engineering experts!

Duties for the Product Design Engineer include:

Innovatively and collaboratively designing and developing industrial products 

Using CAD softwares and instrumentation 

Use CAD software and instrumentation to design new and existing products, ensuring designs maximise efficiency and cost effectiveness.

Collecting and analysing data.

Hands on testing of design utilising on site testing facilities.

Collaborating with the quality and production teams to ensure compliance with appropriate standards.

Offering support and technical guidance to manufacturing shop floor

Working as part of a team towards shared goals.

The successful Product Design Engineer will have / be:

Educated to BEng. level as a minimum

Solid demonstrable experience within a Product Design environment, working with industrial products and systems

Excellent underpinning Mechanical Engineering knowledge, with a good multi-skilled understanding

A genuine passion for Engineering 

Excellent skills using AutoDesk Inventor or SolidWorks developed through work experience 

The ability to collaborate across departments to develop products.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Demonstrable practical as well as theoretical skills.

The ability to travel to site daily - this is a role based on site only
