Carpenter Fire Door Engineer

The Fire Door Engineer will play a crucial role within our team, managing the maintenance and repair of fire door sets at a high-standard healthcare facility.
With a focus on both scheduled and reactive work, the Fire Door Engineer will conduct comprehensive inspections and repairs in line with BM Trada certification standards, ensuring compliance and safety across the site.
Job Description
Responsibilities will include the replacement of doors, glazing, and handles as well as essential fire door maintenance tailored to the hospital environment.

As a BM Trada-certified site, it is well-suited for candidates experienced with these standards, ensuring that work meets stringent fire safety compliance.

Key Responsibilities
* Repair and maintenance of all building services plant within your core trade
* Accurate completion of log sheets and PPM task sheets and timeous return of same
* Respond to tasks allocated by Concept Helpdesk and communicated by phone
* Participate in the development of new processes procedures and service requirements within the scope of your duties
* Work to a permit to work system where required ensuring all safety standards are maintained
* Liaise with Trust staff as required ensuring first class customer service standards are delivered and maintained
Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications
* Experience of BM Trada standards, working on a large site and working with fire doors
* NVQ or City & Guilds Carpentry & Joinery. Any other FM or Building Service Certificates
