Position: Project Engineer

Rate/Salary:Up to £40,000

HSB Technical Ltd is a specialist recruiter within the Power & Propulsion, Shipbuilding, Shipping & Energy and Aerospace sectors. We have a number of permanent and contract vacancies for multiple businesses across the UK and overseas.

We are seeking a motivated Project Engineer / Junior Project Manager / Project Coordinator to join our team. In this role, you will initially manage small telemetry projects, with the potential to progress to overseeing complex Generator and UPS installations.The role is located in Portsmouth

Duties and responsibilities of the Project Engineer / Junior Project Manager / Project Coordinator

• Manage electrical and mechanical projects from handover to completion, ensuring compliance with specifications, timelines, and budget constraints.
• Take overall responsibility for the successful initiation, planning, design, execution, monitoring, control, and closure of all projects
• Oversee small UPS and generator installations and upgrades.
• Liaise with suppliers and sub contractors to ensure adherence to project schedules.
• Provide technical and financial quotes for generators and UPS systems, managing projects through to successful delivery.

Qualifications and requirement for the Project Engineer / Junior Project Manager / Project Coordinator

• Previous experience as a Project Engineer, Junior Project Manager, Project Coordinator, or similar role within engineering.
• Technical qualification in electrical or mechanical engineering (e.g., Apprentice trained, HNC, HND, degree) is advantageous.
• Experience managing small to medium-sized projects
• Ability to commute site near Portsmouth
