About the Role
We are recruiting an experienced Instrument Project Engineer to join our client’s team at the Humber Refinery. This role involves providing technical expertise and leadership to ensure engineering requirements are implemented effectively. You’ll play a critical role in delivering safe, efficient, and compliant instrumentation solutions for projects.

Key Responsibilities
Provide instrument engineering expertise for estimates, design, and construction activities.
Guide design and drafting teams to produce accurate drawings and specifications to company standards.
Act as a key liaison between contractors, vendors, the project team, and the records group.
Conduct site measurements and investigations to enable safe and cost-effective construction.
Produce specifications, calculations, Management of Change documentation, and Safety Instrumented Systems documentation in line with IEC61511 standards.
Maintain good working relationships with stakeholders while ensuring all designs and documentation comply with company and industry standards.
Contribute feedback for process improvements in standards and procedures for future projects. Essential Skills and Qualifications
Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
Experience working on a top-tier COMAH site.
Strong knowledge of hazardous area protection concepts.
Expertise in the design and management of Safety Instrument Systems.
Degree in Control/Electronic Systems or a related subject (or HNC in Instrument & Control Operations Engineering with 10+ years of experience).
Chartered Engineer status is desirable but not essential. Why Join?
