Company Overview - My client is a consultancy that specialises in the civil engineering design for new residential developments which includes the design of Sustainable Drainage Systems, Foul and Surface water sewer design / strategies, Flood Risk Assessments, Highways, House / Garage levels and private drainage.
 
They have a wide variety of clients, including a number of large housing developers, with housing developments ranging from 10 to 7000 units, across the South West of England and South Wales.
 
Job Overview - The role will initially be supporting Engineers to produce civil engineering design packages for Planning applications and Tender packages which is likely to include private drainage design and plot level design. There would be design using software such as Site 3D (highways / SuDS) and Flow (drainage / sewers) .They would expect that with guidance, a candidate has the ability to progress to being able to not only design all aspects of a proposed development, but manage required applications and the client interface.
 
The role will then progress into being responsible for own projects within checking / supervision from an engineer with supervision reduced over time
 
Attributes Required
·Competent with AutoCAD. Knowledge of WinDES / Site 3D / Flow preferred but not essential
·Motivated to work with and learn from a team of experienced civil engineers
·Ability to manage own workload, use own initiative and complete any required design to a high standard
·Excellent communication skills to be able to interact with clients when required
