Warranty Test Technician Opportunity with an Automotive Aftermarket Leader in Smethwick.

Do you thrive in identifying faults, tracing their origins, and providing data-backed solutions? Our client in Smethwick is seeking a Warranty Test Technician to be part of their industry-leading automotive aftermarket remanufacturing company.

Your Day-to-Day:

Every day will be different. A typical day is where you will deep dive into hands-on inspection, matching units to OEM specs and uncovering issues. You'll ensure timely reports to the Head of Engineering, crafted to customer specifics.

Your in-depth analysis of warranty returns will shed light on corrective and preventive measures. You will confidently communicate fault and liability details to their internal team, ultimately leading to robust solutions aimed at warranty prevention and cost reduction.

You will maintain calibration systems, ensuring all equipment is correctly calibrated to ensure the company remains an industry quality leader.

In a nutshell:

* Ensure that all customer warranty returns are analysed/tested in detail to confirm the faults.

* Identify liability and determine acceptance tolerances

* Collect root cause analysis and provide corrective feedback to resolve the issues.

* Provide sufficient detailed analysis and escalate to a higher level to enable issue and trend analysis to provide information for warranty cost reduction activities.

You:

* Skilled in understanding fuel systems, hydraulics, and electromechanical systems.

* Adept with tools, machinery, and data interpretation.

* Proficient with MS Excel and Word.

* A team player with a penchant for presenting data.

* Holding a GCSE Level A-C, IVQ Technician certificate, BTec first certificate, or an equivalent NVQ level 2 qualification.
