Job Title: Controls Engineer - Software Focus

Location: Greater Manchester

Salary: £35-48k dependant on experience

Responsibilities:

Develop and test control systems for combustion systems, focusing on software programming.
Draft Functional Design Specifications (FDS) and technical documentation.
Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues in control systems.
Coordinate with vendors and contractors for proper installation and integration of system components.
Stay informed on the latest control system technologies and trends to enhance our client’s offerings.
Key Skills/Attributes & Experience:

Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
Proficiency with TIA Portal and SCADA/HMI systems.
Ability to write comprehensive Functional Design Specifications (FDS).
Knowledge of P&ID and functional safety standards is a plus.
Strong problem-solving abilities and quick troubleshooting skills.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Effective project management capabilities, handling multiple projects and meeting deadlines.
