Our client, a leading food manufacturer has an exciting opportunity for a Buyer to support their multiple UK business units in day-to-day procurement activities and to support with local and group purchasing projects.
Key responsibilities:
* Develop and manage key supplier relationships to optimise local site operations.
* Lead procurement activities in development projects, including sourcing, negotiation, and contractual agreements.
* Drive and support procurement standardization processes.
* Identify opportunities for cost efficiencies and improvements within the purchasing process.
* Collate quotes for new raw materials and packaging.
Candidate requirements
* Relevant tertiary qualifications will be desirable.
* Proven buying experience in a FMCG manufacturing environment
* Strong analytical skills, comfortable with data analysis and deriving insights
* Advanced data management skills, especially in Excel
* Familiarity with market research, data analysis, and forecasting techniques
On offer:
* Basic salary will be circa £38K to £40K
