Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

⦁ Responsible for producing new jigs, fixtures, form tools & general tooling to engineering drawings
⦁ Responsible for maintaining, repairing and improving existing jigs, fixtures, form tools & general tooling
⦁ Work closely with Tooling Engineers and Manufacturing Engineers to provide the most cost effective and efficient tooling solutions
⦁ Provide toolroom support to the maintenance department
⦁ Support Production by reacting effectively to breakdowns
⦁ Report issues to the Toolroom Supervisor or directly to stakeholders when required
⦁ Provide input into the quotation process

Experience and Skills:

⦁ Be fully competent using manual lathes for turning details up to 1 metre diameter
⦁ Be fully competent using manual machines including but not limited to milling machines, radial arm drills, surface & cylindrical grinders
⦁ Hold all of the required hand / bench skills for jig and tool manufacture and maintenance.
⦁ Computer Numerical Control (CNC) operation and programming
⦁ Demonstrated experience of interpreting and understanding engineering drawings
⦁ Demonstrated experience of producing parts to tight tolerances
