Sheet Metal Worker
Location: Lakenheath
Salary: £14 - £15 per hour
 
We are currently seeking a Sheet Metal Worker to join our clients team based in Lakenheath. As a Sheet Metal Worker, you will play a crucial role in the fabrication and assembly of sheet metal components using various tools and machinery. The successful candidate will have experience in operating a brake press machine and ideally other related equipment.   Responsibilities:  

Operate and maintain machinery such as brake press, guillotine, and cutting tools to fabricate and shape sheet metal according to specifications.
Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and other documentation to determine the required dimensions, materials, and fabrication methods.
Cut, trim, and shape sheet metal using manual and power tools, ensuring precise measurements and smooth finishes.
Maintain a clean and organised work area, ensuring the proper storage and handling of materials and tools.
Adhere to safety regulations and best practices to maintain a secure work environment.
Training provided but experience within a similar role would be highly preferred.   Requirements:  

Experience within a similar role
Proficiency in operating a brake press machine, guillotine, and other sheet metal fabrication equipment preferred
Strong attention to detail
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.   This is a varied role that offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects and contribute to the production of high-quality sheet metal components
