Job Overview

Position: Band 6 Speech and Language Therapist
Location: Special Schools and ARPs Team – Hammersmith & Fulham, Westminster

Join our Special Schools & ARPs team to work across three provisions with both primary and secondary aged children and young people. This role includes the opportunity to support a neurodiverse caseload, including those with severe learning difficulties.

Main duties of the role

Supervision and Support: Access 1:1 and peer group supervision opportunities.

*

Team Collaboration: Be part of our supportive, friendly, and well-established special schools’ team.

*

Training and Development: Benefit from a regular in-house training programme.

*

Specialist Interventions: Deliver specialist interventions to children and young people with Education, Health, and Care Plans.

*

Joint Working: Collaborate with class teams and other professionals.

*

Parental Support: Help parents understand and support their child’s speech, language, and communication needs.

Detailed Job Description

Assessment and Treatment: Assess, develop, and implement Speech and Language Therapy treatments for children with a wide range of communication difficulties.

*

Strategy Development: Identify appropriate strategies to enhance communicative effectiveness in various settings.

*

Clinical Decision-Making: Make informed clinical decisions using evidence-based practice and outcome measurement.

*

Differential Diagnosis: Provide accurate diagnoses based on comprehensive assessments.

*

Evidence-Based Practice: Demonstrate clinical effectiveness through the use of evidence-based practices and outcome measures
